Little Legend’s first full-length album, Orphan League Champs, builds on the rugged but expansive rock ‘n’ roll of the Madison band’s first two EPs (released in 2012 and 2013). To share some of my thoughts on the album and hear a bit more about what went into making it, I sat down this week with singer-guitarist Brandy Tudor and lead guitarist Joe Copeland. We ended up talking about the heavily narrative lyrics in Tudor’s songwriting, the band’s shift into noticeably more layered and detailed production on this album, and how the members’ sense of humor makes it into the music. Oh, and at the end of this podcast episode, you can also hear Copeland’s take on the Fraser theme song.

The band will mark the album’s release with a show this Saturday at Mickey’s Tavern.
