Will you lend us a hand?
Today, instead of our usual fundraising campaign, we’re asking our readers to lend us their help. Literally.
We’re raising money for a $10,000, no-interest Kiva loan. The catch? It must be funded by you — our community and supporters. And we only get the money if we raise the full amount. The good news is that we’ve already raised almost half in a few short days.
To be clear, this isn’t a donation. You will get your money back. (More details at the bottom of this email.)
So many of you have already made a financial contribution to Tone Madison, helping us break our fundraising records last year. Thank you. Those funds are crucial, and we’ll still be asking for donations in the future. But right now, we’re offering a different way for you to support us.
Think of this loan as a long-term investment in Tone Madison.
While your donations from the last few months sustain our day-to-day operations, paying contributors and monthly bills, your loan today helps us build the infrastructure of Tone Madison for years to come. It allows us to invest in talented staff, produce journalism in new and interesting formats, and improve our supporter program to thank you for standing by our side.
This loan is an opportunity to help Tone Madison grow with confidence. Will you lend us a hand?
If you’re ready to contribute, here’s what you need to know:
- You need to lend at least $25.
- You’ll get your investment back over a period of 36 months, after Tone Madison gets the funds.
With gratitude,
