Neal Patten

Neal Patten moved to the Madison area at the end of 2019, but as a Wisconsin native, he traveled to Madison for film and music events for many years before that. He attended college in Ohio where he studied journalism, film, creative writing and environmental issues. Besides freelancing for Tone Madison, he works full-time for Wisconsin Media Group—which produces the weekly newspapers for Oregon, Stoughton, and Verona, as well as the monthly newspaper for Fitchburg. He also freelances for Animation Scoop, writing about cartoons and anime, one of his biggest passions.
