Mary Dahlman Begley is currently living in Minneapolis. She is studying in the Master of Architecture program at the University of Minnesota. Previously, she lived and worked in Madison, where she was involved in Half-Stack Sessions and played in the band Jonesies. Mary is a member of the design collaborative Interesting Tactics.

Tone Madison was a journalist-owned, reader-supported website covering culture and politics in Madison, Wisconsin. We launched in October 2014 and kept publishing our journalism until April 2026, when Tone Madison’s worker-owners made the painful decision to close the publication.

The site remains online as an archive of the work we created over nearly 12 years, but Tone Madison is no longer actively in operation.
