Tone Madison’s 2022 annual report charts a year of growth and challenges

Editor-in-chief and publisher Scott Gordon has covered music and the arts in Madison since 2006 for publications including The A.V. Club, Dane101, and Isthmus, and has also covered policy, environmental issues, and public health for WisContext. He co-founded Tone Madison in 2014.

Christina Lieffring is a Madison-area freelance journalist and lifelong Midwesterner. Formerly with UpNorthNews and The Journal Times in Racine.

Micaela is the fundraising and finance director here at Tone Madison. She enjoys pop culture, collecting nostalgia, and spending time with her dog and cat.

Hayley Sperling a marketing and communications professional. In a past life she was Very Online at WisContext and before that reported on all things happening the city of Madison and issued the occasional anger-fueled rant at The Badger Herald. She’s still working on perfecting her Twitter #brand and becoming a functional adult.

A Madison transplant, Grant has been writing about contemporary and repertory cinema since his contributions to No Ripcord and LakeFrontRow; and he now serves at Tone Madison’s film editor. He also heartily indulges in art songs and avant-progressive music, which he showcased on WSUM 91.7 FM from mid-2016 thru early-2020. Ⓥ🌱
