“Dogg n Madison, WI. N the middle of the blizzard u hea me!!” —Feb. 2, 2011

It’s been six years to the day since Snoop Dogg crip walked his way out onto the Orpheum stage to a packed house. While that may be something worth celebrating in and of itself, like Snoopzilla himself, who took the stage while a legit blizzard raged outside, we here at Tone Madison never take the easy way out of anything. For us, we mark the time not since DJ Snoopadelic blessed our fair city with a faithful version of “Who Am I? (What’s My Name?)”, but instead we celebrate six years since the jubilant Cordozar Calvin Broadus, Jr. got excited by the snow on his way into town and made a point to step off his tour bus and snap this shot of himself all but taunting mother nature to come at him, which it inevitably did. I remember walking home after the show through snow drifts that were two feet high and stretched the whole way across Dayton Street. “Dogg n Madison, WI” indeed!

Shouts to Ginny Luger for rediscovering the original post by the Dee-Oh-Double-Jizzle!
