The Sleazy Madison account on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and Tumblr is one of the absolute best local internet things. Through oft-yellowed newsprint ads, Sleazy Madison offers us a window into the strip clubs, trash movies, wrestling events, and wacky business ideas that dotted the city’s landscape in the not-so-distant past. From Pizza On Wheels to the Dangle Lounge on East Main Street, these clippings are so delightful because they’re so far removed from all the stories Madison likes to tell about itself.

As we prepare to cross over into 2020, Sleazy Madison is taking over the Tone Madison Twitter account with a barrage of seedy New Year’s content from the 1960s and ‘70s. Follow along and keep your eye on Sleazy Madison throughout the year.

mk zariel’s chapbook coaxes us to the edges of our imaginations, and is infused with the undercurrent of love that is necessary to keep going.

A simple image includes two movie posters: one in the Spanish language on the left for "Hasta Cierto Punto," released in 1983, and one in English on the right for "Lucía," released in 1968.
