This week I asked Michael Penn II (CRASHprez) and Mike Noto (Tone Madison contributor and a member of Madison noise-punk band Coordinated Suicides) to smash together their considerable hip-hop nerdery and help us process the fact that Madison is getting sold-out shows from Future on February 17 and Fetty Wap on February 20.

And there is a lot to unpack here. Mike and Michael discuss the less-appreciated and much-appreciated highlights of both rappers’ output so far, try to make sense of Future’s recent avalanche of mixtapes and albums, propose a re-sequencing for DS2, praise Fetty Wap affiliate Monty, parse some icky feels about Fetty Wap opener Post Malone, and brace for a “white fuckery fest” at both of these upcoming shows. Also, Michael’s Future impersonation. Here’s basically the full conversation. Enjoy.
