Four Tone Madison writers discuss the making of our year-end music coverage.

Earlier this week, we at Tone Madison rounded up our favorite music that Madison artists released during 2016. We published our top 20 Madison records of the year list, and a longer list of honorable mentions. Several Tone Madison contributors helped pick the list and write about why we chose the releases that we did. Three of them, Emili Earhart, Grant Phipps, and Mike Noto, joined me last week as we were working on the list to talk about the year in local music and the challenge of summing it all up.
