Podcast short: Labrador’s sharp and disappointed pop

Members Hannah Baker and Lawrence Gann catch up with us about the Madison band’s development. (Photo by Amanda Rae Kempski.)

For this brief installment of the Tone Madison podcast, we’re talking with two members of the Madison based band Labrador. The band’s 2018 debut EP, Tell Me About Your Dad, is a set of five songs that manage to be very tender and very cutting all at once. Labrador is playing this Saturday, August 17 at The Winnebago and Sunday, September 15 on the Half-Stack Sessions/Tone Madison stage at the Willy Street Fair. Baker and with Labrador’s drummer, Lawrence Gann, sat down with us this week to talk about where the band is going.
