The week’s best Madison show announcements.

Holy crap, we get to enjoy a Slayer show without driving to the goddamn Rave or enduring the kind of gunky butt-rock lineup fellow thrash veterans Anthrax got stuck in on their last trip to Madison. On March 9 at the Orpheum, they’ll be headlining and bringing along Testament and Carcass. Slayer tragically lost guitarist Jeff Hanneman in 2013, but the good news is that Gary Holt of the great Exodus joins them on this year’s album Repentless and on this tour. Info/tickets
We’re sure hearing a lot from Milwaukee-based rapper Milo lately, and now he has yet another Madison show booked on January 9 at the 100state coworking space. Info/tickets
Moody and ambitious Detroit rockers Protomartyr will be back for a March 13 show at The Frequency. Info/tickets
Comedian Jim Jefferies will play a stand-up show on February 13 at the Barrymore. Info/tickets
Also, early-2016 show announcements for the Wisconsin Union’s venues are starting to trickle in this week on the WUD Music Facebook page, including Autograf (Feb. 5 at The Sett in Union South) and Diane Coffee (Feb. 13 at The Sett).
