Girlpool play October 14 at Union South.
Los Angeles/Philadelphia punk duo Girlpool will play October 14 at Union South. The WUD Music committee hasn’t posted an event page yet, but the show is free, all ages, and starts at 8 p.m.
The 2015 Wisconsin Book Festival schedule is out. Events, all free, run from October 22 through 25 at the Central Library and other downtown and campus venues. Speakers will include progressive economist Robert Reich and design historian Jude Stewart.
Former Madison and currently LA-based musician Mike Krol will play a September 4 in-store at Strictly Discsbehind his Merge Records debut Turkey, an album of frantic, charming, and scuzzy power-pop. Info
Activist performance-art duo The Yes Men will visit Madison as part of the Mutual Aid Network’s launch party on August 24 at the High Noon Saloon. Info
Additionally, The Yes Men’s new film, The Yes Men Are Revolting, is scheduled to screen September 10 at the Central Library.
