Tone Madison co-presents a livestreamed weekend of performances and talks.
Last summer Willy Street’s Social Justice Center put on its first-ever SJC Jubilee, an outdoor day of music that tied in with Make Music Madison and featured a stacked multi-genre lineup of local artists. The SJC and Tone Madison are teaming up to put on this year’s Jubilee in streaming form on June 26 and 27.
Just like last year, the Jubilee will feature a variety of Madison musicians performing live. We’ll also be hosting some talks and interviews, some of them with Tone Madison editors and contributors. Think of it as a weekend streaming marathon highlighting many corners of creativity and activism in Madison. The event will raise money to support the Social Justice Center’s programming and a little to support Tone Madison—which, by the way, mostly relies on reader support.
The full lineup will be announced soon. For now, you can donate to a crowdfunding campaign to help pay the performers. If you’re a business or organization that would like to sponsor the event, find more info about that here. You can also RSVP to the event on Facebook.
