The live-streamed event will include local music, a virtual maker’s market, and a special edition of Conduit.
Communication, Tone Madison‘s partner organization, is celebrating its second anniversary this Saturday, September 12 with a live-streamed event that also raises money to support the non-profit venue and arts space on Milwaukee Street. We’re proud to co-host this event and hope you can join us for a great day of art, music, and community.
Between noon and 4 p.m., Communication’s Instagram account will be hosting a Virtual Maker’s Market where about 20 different local artists will be selling their work. See the full list of artists on the Facebook event.
At 4:30 p.m., things move over to a stream on Communication’s Facebook page. First up there will be a special, pre-recorded edition of Conduit, a series of talks Tone Madison, Communication, and UnderBelly have been organizing together during the pandemic. This one will be a conversation with artists Grace Olson and Araceli Zuniga about Communication’s Justice Club project.
The live music portion starts up at 6 p.m. with Emili Earhart, a Tone Madison contributor who spans the worlds of classical piano and experimental electronic music. Kat And The Hurricane, who developed a tender cosmic pop sound on this year’s Libra EP, are up at 7. After that, Communication will be streaming a performance piece by Madison storyteller and writer Muirrieyah de la O. Metal youngsters Flying Fuzz will close the show out at 8.
You can support Communication by donating online during the event, helping the space stay open as it navigates the pandemic and continues to work on educational and virtual programming.
