Over the years I’ve been fortunate enough to have a Madison-based artist/designer/musician/nice person named Lauden Nute make flyers for a few shows and events I’ve put on. So it’s not without bias that I say this, but he deserves to become the toast of the sparkling-water Internet for the thing he posted today.

I made a meme on my phone tonight. @klarbrunn

For the unfamiliar, that is Drake having a correct reaction to two Wisconsin-born sparkling water brands turned hot commodities. Not the first Drake meme, not the first person to have opinions about fizzy beverages, but it does strike a nerve.

Klarbrunn is aware of it—the company’s official Facebook account reacted with a “love” on one post as people were sharing it around today.

Lauden says his inspiration to make this was “Partially the rising popularity of La Croix, and La Croix costing almost twice as much as Klarbrunn. And like… how did sparkling water become a fad?”

“La Croix also seems not as carbonated and it’s shittier,” he adds.
