You won’t see them around town, but a bunch of WFF ‘16 films have cool posters.
It makes sense that the programmers at the Wisconsin Film Festival would choose the route of cinema purism and go with images taken directly from the films when promoting the lineup in print and online but, in doing so, they cut out a vital component in the marketing of a film: The poster. To fill this gap, we compiled a baker’s dozen of excellent posters for films that are screening this year which we thought were compelling, exciting, or just plain easy on the eyes. Click on the title and you’ll be whisked off to the WFF site, where you can learn more about the title or buy a ticket, so long as they’re not sold out.
