This week’s Tone Madison/WORT podcast looks ahead to the best screenings on offer this summer in Madison.
Orson Welles in “The Third Man.”
Now that the schedules are out for both UW Cinematheque’s summer season and Rooftop Cinema’s 10th anniversary season, Tone Madison writers Chris Lay and Scott Gordon sat down at WORT-FM studios to discuss these and other worthwhile film offerings hitting Madison in the weeks ahead. This time we focus particularly on Cinematheque’s ongoing look at Orson Welles and its looser series of “special presentations,” and on the particular charm of Rooftop Cinema, but we also touch on other film programs around town, including the Madison Public Library’s diverse film offerings. Thanks to WORT’s Dylan Brogan for producing the segment. A shorter version ran earlier this week on WORT’s In Our Backyard news show.
